  • Producing safety case documentation to support the operation of a Ground Based Air Defence System.
  • Conducting a safety analysis to support the development of future hypersonic capabilities.
  • Running OME Safety Review Panels (OSRP) to provide Second Party Assurance (2PA) of inherent OME safety on behalf of UK MOD.
  • Providing assurance advice to UK naval platform systems.
  • Authoring of Weapon and OME specific safety assurance artefacts.

Due to the nature of the work that Frazer-Nash Consultancy undertake, candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.

Do you have experience of working in Weapons and Ordnance, Munitions & Explosives (OME) safety?

  • Familiarity with Technical Assurance/Governance.
  • Experience of working in the commercial industry in support of the WOME enterprise.
  • Hold professional engineering status or show a readiness to obtain it.
  • Experience as ex-service WOME operators.
  • Experience of applying safety analysis techniques, including HAZID, hazard management, functional hazard assessment, software safety, risk categorisation and classification.
  • OME certification, qualification, S3, platform integration, test and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of WOME Standards, Policies and Regulations.
  • Experience in risk management and reduction, including ALARP assessments.
Benefits

Salary range: £45,000 to £55,000 per annum
