In this role you will support directional drilling for the installation of underground conduit and fiber optic cable. You will locate and operate horizontal directional drills in collaboration with the Drill Locator, ensuring that coax and fiber systems are installed correctly. Safety of the public and existing underground utilities is a top priority, and you will read utility locates and coordinate daylighting of facilities while transporting heavy equipment to and from the job site each day.
The ideal candidate has at least two years of utility directional drilling experience in an urban environment and is familiar with Vermeer or Ditch Witch drills of various sizes. A valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record, the ability to read maps, drawings, and diagrams, and a strong safety mindset are required. You should have a track record of high‑quality work, enjoy solving tough problems with a hands‑on approach, and be looking for long‑term projects that make a positive impact on the local community.
Compensation ranges from $27 to $32 per hour, depending on experience, and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
