Regulatory Environmental Planner responsible for managing multi-disciplinary projects, providing regulatory guidance, and submitting regulatory applications for various projects across Canada.
Manage multi-disciplinary projects for oil and gas, midstream, power, mining, infrastructure, and other client groups.
Assist clients in understanding regulatory processes, issues affecting project development and timelines, propose mitigation and advise on appropriate strategic approach for obtaining regulatory approvals.
Analyze, assess, and interpret development plans to recommend design solutions and mitigation strategies to avoid or reduce environmental effects.

Experience writing and coordinating technical reports.
A degree in environmental science, biology, geography, geology, engineering, or equivalent.
Working knowledge of environmental and planning legislation, regulations, directives, and procedures.
Self-motivated and possess strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Familiarity with and experience working on Aboriginal Consultation Office (ACO) submissions and Indigenous engagement.
Construction based environmental monitoring experience.
Experience with Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) Rule 007.
Experience providing environmental regulatory support to mining projects.
Professional designations such as P.Biol., P.Ag., P.Eng., P.Geo., PMP, EP etc.
Proven experience in directing and managing multi-disciplinary projects (client communications, scheduling, change order management, budgets, cost estimates, and invoicing)
A valid and clean driver’s license with no restrictions.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing environmental and regulatory planning and permitting projects in western Canada within a consulting environment.
Ability to provide technical direction and mentorship to junior and intermediate professionals.
Multi-disciplinary project management.
Project management using Workday (or equivalent software platform).
Experience with federally regulated projects in western Canada and familiarity with the Federal Impact Assessment Act and the Canadian Energy Regulator (CER) Act.
Experience with environmental regulatory projects for the full project life-cycle from planning through construction, into operations and decommissioning and reclamation.
Knowledge and understanding of the Alberta Water Act and wetland policy
