The trainee will work alongside pipefitters and welders, learning to set up and operate the machine, enter and verify cut data, read drawings and isometrics, and assist with pipe layout and preparation. Basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance are part of the role, as is maintaining the quality and accuracy of cut components.
We are hiring a Vernon Pipe Cutting Machine Operator – Trainee. This role is designed for individuals with a basic understanding of pipefitting who are comfortable using computers and are eager to learn advanced fabrication equipment. The Vernon pipe cutting machine is a CNC‑controlled system that cuts pipe to precise lengths and creates bevels, miters, saddles, fish‑mouths and other complex profiles, preparing pipe ends for butt‑weld fit‑up and improving accuracy and production efficiency.
Candidates should have a solid grasp of pipefitting fundamentals, be comfortable with computer software and modeling, and possess strong attention to detail. Reliability, punctuality, a safety‑first mindset, and willingness to work overtime and learn CNC‑style equipment are essential.
