The specialist administers the internal audit process to provide timely oversight of Voucher Program files and procedures, ensuring documents related to eligibility determination and level of assistance are complete, timely, and accurate per VHA and HUD guidelines. They create and maintain audit and performance reports that compare targeted versus actual error rates, and develop department performance reports. The role also involves reviewing, revising, and creating forms under direction of supervisors, preparing PIC and EIV submissions, analyzing Elite reports, and maintaining desk manuals and training plans for department positions.
Applicants must have a high school diploma plus additional education or vocational training in office or housing‑related subjects and at least four years of directly related experience. Demonstrated computer skills are required; an AA or BA in Social Service or a related field is strongly preferred, and prior housing experience is desirable. The starting salary range is $27.29‑$28.65 per hour, with a full range up to $38.20 per hour based on experience. This is a full‑time, non‑exempt, union‑represented position working 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm on‑site.
