Field Technician

Description

• Perform material testing of soils, aggregates, asphalt concrete and concrete during placement on active construction sites.
• Interpret specifications and working drawings.
• Conduct field inspection, testing, sampling, and maintain equipment on assigned projects.
• Collect and organize field data, then generate and compile field reports.
• Record daily installed construction quantities.
• Communicate with contractors, owner’s representatives, and team members on site.
• Maintain equipment as required.
• Follow public health and safety requirements and proper safety procedures.

Requirements

We are seeking motivated entry‑level individuals ready to work hard and learn new skills as Field Technicians on Ohio projects. DLZ will supply comprehensive training to ensure success in field‑based roles.

Candidates must have at least a high school diploma, strong verbal communication, basic computer abilities, attention to detail, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and the physical capacity to lift 50 lb frequently. Travel throughout Ohio is required, and preferred certifications include ACI Concrete Field Testing and Nuclear Densometer Safety.
