Quality Control Civil Engineer

• Monitor and inspect civil activities, from raw material acceptance through to final testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Develop and implement quality procedures, inspection checklists, and method statements related to civil works.
• Review and prepare project quality documents and ensure complete documentation (QA/QC dossiers) at project close-out.
• Conduct root cause analysis and lead corrective/preventive actions for civil-related non-conformities.
• Monitor and report KPIs related to Quality Costs, NCRs, lessons learned, and trends in project performance indicators.
• Maintain and manage quality documentation, including system manuals, national/international standards, technical data sheets, ITPs, and client specifications.
• Maintain detailed QA/QC logs and reports, including NCR logs, proactive logs, calibration records, inspection logs, and lessons learned for reporting to the TQM department.
• Review project technical submittals to ensure alignment with quality and specification requirements prior to implementation.
• Perform internal quality audits to verify adherence to QMS requirements.
• Coordinate closely with project stakeholders including construction managers, project managers, vendors, third parties, and the TQM team.
• Provide technical guidance to the construction team for improvement in quality performance and compliance.
• Ensure project quality requirements are met in compliance with PQP, ITPs, PTS, MOS, checklists, and applicable codes and standards.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced QA/QC Civil Engineer with a strong background in the construction of substations, overhead transmission lines (OHTL), underground cable works, and building infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have SEC approval and be capable of enforcing quality standards, ensuring compliance, conducting inspections, managing documentation, and supporting continuous improvement in line with project requirements.

Candidates with prior Saudi or GCC experience strongly preferred

• Experience with SEC or Aramco projects is mandatory or strongly preferred.
• Proficient in interpreting civil engineering drawings, specifications, and technical standards.
• Strong knowledge of civil quality control procedures, inspection techniques, and material verification methods.
• Understand and interface across multi-disciplinary engineering functions and ensure all are reflected in QA/QC deliverables.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8+ years of QA/QC experience in substation, building, and infrastructure projects, including OHTL and underground cable work.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 (QMS) standards. Certification as Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor is preferred.
