What you would be doing

- Assist in full or partial gas compressor overhauls and maintenance and other auxiliary equipment
- Plan and lead pipeline isolation and gas handling activities including blowing down, purging and pressuring pipelines and the installation and operation of air movers/expellers
- Travel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings or training which would involve some overnight stays away from home
- Landscaping duties to include trimming, grass cutting, etc.
- Identify encroachment issues
- Lead/manage the safe and efficient completion of low complexity projects to include the coordination and monitoring of contractor work activities or third-party active control
- Independently operate and maintain natural gas pipelines and associated equipment
- Perform gas leak surveys
- Perform general housekeeping duties for company facilities
- Perform One Call line locates
- Assist with general pipeline right-of-way (ROW) maintenance activities such as erosion or sink hole repairs, line patrols, and installation of identification signs and posts
- Operate compressor engines and support equipment
- Assist with all types of line crossings (foreign or seismic) of TC Energy pipeline assets
- Perform inspections, troubleshooting and repair on equipment such as actuators, valves, stem seals, and other related component
- Operate company truck, ATV or side-by-side to perform operation and maintenance duties
- Assist with various tasks associated with in-line inspection programs
- Read and interpret alignment sheets
- Communicate with contractors, the general public, landowners, and government agencies relative to gas operations

- Have and maintain a valid driver's license and a safe driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience operating and maintaining high pressure natural gas pipelines and/or facilities
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license or the ability to obtain the license post hire
- Knowledge of reciprocating compressors, turbines, and stand by generators
- SAP experience
- Mechanical knowledge, skills, and experience
- All positions require background screening. Some require criminal and/or credit checks to comply with regulations.
- Complete basic "as built" prints and update related documentation with respect to One Call and pipeline related schematics
- Successfully complete a pre-employment medical screening, to include drug and alcohol testing
- Experience in a related industry or discipline
- Experience repairing pipeline leaks and locating and marking pipelines
- Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the country in which the position is based with no restrictions.
- Be subject to working conditions which include adverse weather, temperatures and lifting
- Experience with valve operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair
- Be subject to call out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and work extended days and/or weeks for emergency response purposes
