What you would be doing

Implement and uphold quality management processes and contribute to the development of best practices and standards.
Serve as a technical liaison between internal teams, clients, consultants, and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) to ensure project clarity, alignment, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Offer expert guidance on code compliance, and technical problem-solving, including implementation of Quality Management Programs, QA reviews, survey calculations, and documentation accuracy.
Supervising direct reports is a key responsibility of this job.
Perform or coordinate site visits and field measurements to validate existing conditions.
Collaborate with Project Managers and Discipline Leads on project budgeting, scheduling, staffing forecasts, and proposal development.
Be responsible for the team’s quality of work, productivity, and actions.
Oversee the full lifecycle of projects—ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
Lead meetings, document decisions, and clearly communicate project goals, updates, and changes to all relevant parties, including clients and senior leadership.
Interpret and apply company, client, and jurisdictional requirements, standards and applicable codes to ensure documentation meet professional, legal and safety obligations.
Direct and support production teams by assigning tasks, balancing workloads, and ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet technical and regulatory standards.

Computer skills necessary to enter daily timesheet data and use Microsoft Outlook for email correspondence.
Minimum of 8 years of professional experience is required.
Professional Surveyor (PS) licensure is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Surveying or a related field; In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, a Professional Surveyor license is required.
Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil3D technology experience is a plus.
Completion of Fundamentals of Surveying Examination (FS) and certification as an SI with a state licensure board is preferred.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Deltek, BlueBeam Revu and other applicable software.
Minimum of 2 years in a leadership or management role is preferred.
