There is an immediate need for a Quality Control Inspector based out of our Andover, MA office. This role is responsible for testing and inspecting components and finished devices as defined by work instructions and/or Engineering specifications. Report non-conformances. Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration. Read more to see if this amazing opportunity is for you.

  • Maintain and post inspection results in quality inspection database.
  • Layout Inspection using GD&T.
  • Assist in writing and updating inspection procedures, protocol, and checklists.
  • Test and inspect components and finished devices as defined by work instructions and/or Engineering specifications.
  • Perform final product inspection and test.
  • Perform First Article Inspections
  • Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration.
  • Communicate with vendors on material certifications
  • Maintain Calibration program - monitor / track critical equipment and instrumentation for all departments to ensure proper operation and calibration, coordinate with outside calibration house, maintain records, perform in house calibrations and maintain records.
  • Inspect / test production components and subassemblies in accordance with procedures, specifications, and mechanical drawings.
  • Participate in root cause analysis team with Engineering and report on findings
  • Report non-conformances.
  • Assist shipping department by receiving parts after normal hours.

  • Knowledge of power tool such as a Drill Press.

  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English including reading, writing, speaking and listening.
  • General experience working with 3D CAD software.

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Technical training required in lieu of Associates Degree.
  • Working knowledge of measuring instruments such as CNC Video measuring systems, calipers, comparator, DMM, Pin Gage, Force Gage, Drop indicator, Surface Tester, gage blocks, depth gage, Durometer, and thread gages.
  • Power Industrial Truck experience.

Compensation: The compensation range for this U.S.-based position is $46,900 - $68,000 annually.
