Will Call Expediter

Description

• Greet all incoming customers.
• Verify orders and coordinate paperwork with clerks.
• Direct customers to the appropriate bay.
• Ensure a loader is assigned to each order.
• Build and assemble next-day orders before the gates open.
• Locate all orders and track multiple tags.
• Keep the Pit area clean and organized.
• Apply proper load-up techniques and know vehicle weight capacities.
• Ensure customer safety throughout the process.
• Fill in for team members when needed to exceed expectations.
• Update and maintain a clean Pit dashboard.
• Collaborate with sales to increase Pit usage.
• Recognize customers by name and understand their business.
• Verify correct materials before customers leave the Pit.
• Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts as required.
• Maintain physical condition to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 lb regularly.
• Wear prescribed personal protective equipment when handling material or equipment.

Requirements

The role requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting, as well as the ability to operate material-handling equipment; employees must meet physical standards, pass drug screens and physical capacity assessments, and the position is at-will with accommodations available for qualified individuals with disabilities.

• Maintain familiarity with yard layout and stocked items.
• Demonstrate strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Manage time effectively and stay organized.
• Multitask and solve problems creatively.
• Exhibit excellent people skills and hospitality.
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent; 6 months related experience preferred.
• Pass pre-employment drug screening and physical capacity assessments.
