

Provides integrated industrial services including engineering, procurement, construction, and maintenance.
The custodian maintains the building in a clean and orderly condition, performing heavy cleaning tasks such as cleaning floors, hallways, stairs, shampooing rugs, and washing walls and glass. Additional duties may include tending furnace and boiler, routine maintenance, reporting repair needs, and removing snow or debris from sidewalks.
The position typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prior experience in custodial work. The employee follows established guidelines, works under direct supervision, and does not require independent judgment. Basic skills include planning work, selecting appropriate tools, and recognizing differences in size, shape, and form of objects.
The role involves standing (50%), walking (30%) and sitting (20%) with the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lb and push/pull 70 ft‑lb. Frequent activities include climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, and fingering, with occasional tasks as defined by the symbol key.
