Step up to lead routine warehouse operations—including shipping, receiving, picking, sorting, and assessing returns – especially when the Stockkeeper is unavailable.
Conduct regular inventory counts to keep stock levels optimized and support business needs.
Prioritize material needs to meet deadlines and help maximize productivity across the team.
Deliver excellent customer service at the warehouse counter, assisting team members and clients with their material requests.
Keep inventory records up to date by issuing and returning stock as needed.
Monitor inventory levels and storage locations, reporting findings and supporting the Stockkeeper in maintaining accuracy.
Identify the best locations for picking and shipping materials to streamline workflow.
Take on additional duties as needed to support the success of the team.
Handle administrative tasks and ensure accurate data entry in materials management software.
Operate forklifts and other materials handling equipment, performing safety checks to ensure reliable operation.
Prepare and fulfill orders for work projects, making sure materials are tracked and recorded correctly.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, contributing to continuous improvement.
Help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment, including the yard and associated buildings.
Play a key role in receiving and organizing materials, ensuring every item is accurately documented and ready for use.
Manage shipments to various locations, handling all paperwork and logistics to keep operations running smoothly.
Take initiative in sorting and preparing salvage materials for disposal or sale and coordinate returns of surplus goods to suppliers.

Previous experience in a trade or warehouse environment is beneficial.
Eager to learn and willing to pursue warehousing and logistics certifications.
Comfortable using the Microsoft Office Suite for daily tasks.
Be open to occasional travel and out-of-town assignments for special projects.
Experience with inventory software is an asset.
Certification in First Aid, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS).
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Familiarity with Oracle or similar inventory management systems.
Valid driver’s license.
