The Assembly Technician is responsible for building and modifying a variety of medium- and high-voltage components, from breakers and auxiliary compartments to power modules and related sub‑assemblies. Daily tasks include wiring, mounting electrical equipment, and conducting routine lifts of heavy copper parts. The technician also completes required checklists, monitors Kanban inventory, inspects finished assemblies for quality, and addresses change notices or customer‑driven adjustments. Collaboration with engineering, drafting, and supervision is essential to support development work and ensure accurate documentation.
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED and have at least one year of experience in a similar assembly role, including the use of hand and air tools. Strong communication, analytical problem‑solving, and teamwork abilities are required, as is flexibility to work overtime when needed. Proficiency with standard computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook/Teams and ENOVIA is expected, and applicants should reside within 50 miles of Greenwood, SC unless they are active‑duty military.
