Field HSE Supervisor
Matrix Service Company
Provides construction, fabrication, and maintenance services for industrial and energy sectors.
Oversee safety, training, and compliance for field linemen maintaining electrical distribution.
Conduct work area surveillance inspections, and air-sampling tests for confined space entry, property damage, and personal injury investigations.
Issues direction to all site EH&S Representatives where applicable.
Participate in developing and conducting staff and craft safety orientation and training programs.
Assist in controlling hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities through interface with project management and supervisory personnel.
Document all accidents, EH&S violations, unsafe conditions, and activities. Issue confined area entry and “hot work” permits as required.
Perform additional assignments per the supervisor’s direction.
Accompany EH&S, health, and insurance inspections on walk-through tours as required.
Assist in the supervision and administration of EH&S-related activities.
Represent the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company’s “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.”
Participate in client calls/meetings. Assist in the development and personation information or documents for such meetings.
Review EH&S-related journals, catalogs, etc. to keep abreast of changes or improvements in protective safety equipment, materials, and gear.

Previous safety supervisory and/or management experience is strongly preferred. Advanced knowledge and ability to enforce all federal state, local, and company EH&S regulations required.
4-year occupational safety and health degree plus a minimum of 3+ years of construction or industrial safety experience or equivalent combinations of training and related experience.
Familiarity with basic MS Office applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
Good interpersonal and communication skills are also required.
Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures essential.
Experience with electrical construction/maintenance, preferably Transmission & Distribution.
