The position focuses on leading silicon validation and signal‑integrity analysis for next‑generation high‑speed interconnect products, translating simulation strategies into real‑world performance for 112 Gb/s and 224 Gb/s systems.
The role involves overseeing post‑silicon validation of PHY chips, designing automated test benches, performing interoperability checks with Broadcom switch families, and troubleshooting complex power, signal, and clocking issues on reference platforms.
- Lead post‑silicon validation and electrical characterization of DSP and Optical PHY layer chips.
- Define validation plans and develop automated test benches for high‑speed I/O testing.
- Conduct interoperability testing and validate Broadcom PLP products with Tomahawk switches.
- Debug complex hardware issues related to power integrity, signal integrity, and clocking.
- Provide signal‑integrity support for SerDes links up to 112 Gbps NRZ and 224 Gbps PAM4.
- Execute schematic and channel simulations using Keysight ADS and statistical simulators.
- Perform detailed channel analysis including insertion loss, return loss, crosstalk, and TDT.
- Calculate EIPS and EICN for advanced noise and interference analysis.
- Analyze phase noise, jitter sensitivity, and BER for PLLs and SerDes TX‑RX links.
- Lead measurement‑simulation correlation and collaborate with package, PCB, and silicon teams.
