Supplier Quality Engineer

Description

The Supplier Quality Engineer will ensure the quality of materials and components used in Hithium’s battery module, pack, and container manufacturing processes. Key responsibilities include developing quality control plans, conducting supplier audits, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, performing failure analysis, and driving continuous‑improvement initiatives to achieve quality and cost‑reduction goals.

• Develop and implement supplier quality control plans, including inspection procedures and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct audits of supplier facilities and quality systems to verify compliance with industry standards.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, and initiate corrective actions with suppliers.
• Maintain clear documentation of audits, reports, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Apply project management and systems engineering tools to complete complex tasks.

Requirements

Hithium Tech USA is opening a new manufacturing facility in the Mesquite/Forney area and is seeking a detail‑oriented Supplier Quality Engineer to join its Supply Chain team. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field and at least three years of experience in a supplier quality engineering position. Candidates must be skilled at conducting audits, creating quality control plans, communicating with supplier management, and executing projects, while demonstrating strong analytical, problem‑solving, and interpersonal abilities and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Desired qualifications include familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems (IATF 16949 is a plus), experience with battery energy storage system (BESS) components, and knowledge of quality management software. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with ISO 9001 (IATF 16949 a plus), BESS components, and quality management software is desirable.
