Description

• Document inspection results and prepare clear, concise reports for project records.
• Communicate findings and code requirements to contractors, design professionals, and municipal officials.

• Coordinate with internal team members to support project schedules and deliverables
• Conduct on-site inspections of residential and commercial projects to verify compliance with applicable New York State Building Codes and local ordinances.
• Identify code violations and provide guidance on corrective actions.

Requirements

Current New York State Building Code Inspector or Code Enforcement Official certification.

Reliable personal vehicle and willingness to travel up to 25 miles for site inspections.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Minimum 3 years of experience in construction, building inspection, or code enforcement.

This position plays a key role in ensuring compliance with New York State Building Codes and local regulations through field inspections of residential and commercial projects. This is a flexible, on-call role ideal for professionals looking to supplement their current workload or semi-retired inspectors seeking part-time fieldwork.
