Tasks

Position Summary: The Shipping Clerk is responsible for tracking and tracing all Leaf Home shipments. The Shipping Clerk’s key responsibility will be making sure Leaf Home’s internal partners are promptly notified of impending shipments. Additionally, they will play a key role in scheduling freight for pickup, preparing shipping documents, and maintaining internal information as needed. Leaf Home will recruit, hire, train, and promote persons in all job titles without regard to race, color, ancestry, national origin, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, marital status, religion, age, results of genetic testing, veteran status, or physical/mental disability (except where the disability prevents the individual from being able to perform the essential functions of the job and cannot be reasonably accommodated in full compliance with the law). -Send transportation vendors weekly shipping schedules. -Assist the Transportation Supervisor, Warehouse Specialists, and other team members when needed. -Issue freight arrival notices to internal and external locations through reports and software. -Inform management of ongoing performance issues -Performs indoor work in a climate-controlled environment. -May be requested to work overtime on evenings and weekends dependent on business need. -Track and trace all Leaf Home shipments. -Update consignee information in software as needed. -Communicate with transportation vendors as needed. -Issue parcel arrival notices to internal locations through reports. -Prepare and proof shipping documents as required. -Manage location addresses and accessorial needs throughout software/excel as needed. -Build shipments in our internal systems and select the best mode/carrier.

Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. -Ability to juggle various work activities and shift their attention from one task to another to meet the demands of different stakeholders without “dropping the ball.” -High school diploma or equivalent. -Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment and have a “roll up your sleeves” and “win every day” mentality. -Detail-oriented and can focus on the task at hand by finding the most efficient and effective pathway to completion. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels to communicate with internal and external stakeholders articulately.
