Description

Operators receive material deliveries, perform QA/QC on inbound shipments, maintain site safety and cleanliness, and process material in a solidification pit. The role utilizes heavy equipment like loaders and excavators, as well as powered industrial equipment such as forklifts and various tools.

• Prioritize health and safety by following all policies and procedures.
• Unload and load materials in compliance with company regulations.
• Conduct QA/QC inspections on all inbound shipments.
• Safely load, unload, and sample solid and liquid materials per regulatory standards.
• Verify manifest quantities against received containers.
• Perform chemical compatibility checks.
• Operate heavy machinery, including loaders, excavators, and forklifts with attachments.
• Conduct daily preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Perform basic equipment greasing and cleaning.
• Execute spill cleanup and routine housekeeping.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas, including walls, pit drains, and floors.
• Shovel, sweep, and wash assigned areas throughout the shift.
• Identify and report safety hazards.
• Manage PPE and supply inventory, notifying management when restocking is needed.

Requirements

• Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as boots, gloves, suits, eye/ear protection, and respirator.
• 1–3 years of shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy equipment.
• Strong teamwork and independent work skills.
• Able to lift 51 lb unassisted.
• Basic math, reading, and communication abilities.
• Effective time management.
• Comfortable working in dusty conditions and repetitive motions in any weather.
• Dependable attendance and performance.
• Must pass pulmonary function and respirator fit tests.
