This position requires the Equipment Maintenance Specialist to obtain a Personal Identification Verification card.
Ability to obtain a PIV card.
Proficiency in equipment tracking systems/databases.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Safe driving record.
Must meet the requirements for federal background checks.
Minimum 5 years maintaining, repairing, and tracking environmental field equipment used in hazardous substance and oil response.
High school diploma or equivalent required
Familiarity with air monitoring instruments and safety equipment.
Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Basic Incident Command System (ICS) Level 200.
Ability to be trained in the use of the Sunflower asset management system.
Daily interaction with the EPA client at the EPA facilities mentioned above and on emergency response assignments. Good oral communication skills and documentation skills are required.
DOT/CMV medical clearance.
Must meet the requirements for unescorted access to EPA facilities, which requires issuance of a federal PIV card.
Experience with equipment management, inventory control, and customer service.
Mechanical aptitude for pumps, gauges, small engines.
