Interns will assist with acquiring and processing hydrographic and geophysical data for government and private clients, perform data quality checks, learn hydrographic software tools, and help develop data‑management strategies while ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Responsibilities may vary by department and location.
We are hiring Maritime Hydrographic Survey Interns for our Geospatial teams at locations in Houston, TX; Charleston, SC; Port Orchard, WA; Wasilla, AK; and San Rafael, CA. The full‑time, 40‑hour‑per‑week summer 2026 internship reports to the Geospatial Team Leader and supports surveying and data processing. Applicants must already have work authorization; visa sponsorship is not available.
Successful candidates should have a strong desire to learn, excellent organization and time‑management skills, the ability to grasp new information in challenging situations, and strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. A general understanding of hydrographic surveys, willingness to work on 20‑70 ft vessels, and the ability to spend 2‑3 weeks in the field are required. Proactive attitude toward learning new software is essential.
