You will serve as project manager, deputy PM, or technical task lead on TSMO, ITS, and V2X projects, guiding planning, policy analysis, funding strategies, system requirements, concept of operations, strategic communications, and risk management. You will support national research and deployment efforts such as USDOT, NCHRP, and pooled fund studies.
The role includes driving business development and strategic pursuits, representing WSP to clients, agencies, subcontractors, and industry groups, and creating promotional and proposal materials. You will build alliances, lead project pursuits, negotiate contracts, anticipate client needs and market trends, and communicate effectively within remote, cross‑functional teams while upholding ethical standards and WSP’s Code of Conduct.
We seek candidates with proven ability to build and sustain client relationships, deep expertise in TSMO and ITS, and experience managing complex project delivery. Success in leading winning pursuits, strategic thinking, adaptability, collaborative leadership, and a commitment to excellence are essential.
Typical time allocation is 70 % project delivery (task management, research, analysis, technical writing, client workshops), 20 % business development (strategy, lead generation, proposals, interviews), and 10 % thought leadership (white papers, presentations, industry events).
A master’s degree in engineering, transportation planning, public policy, or a related field and at least 15 years of transportation industry experience are required, along with demonstrated leadership, client networking, strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills, active industry organization engagement, U.S. work authorization, and adherence to WSP’s Code of Conduct and safety policies.
Preferred candidates have proven success managing and deploying ITS, V2X, and TSMO programs for state and federal DOTs and are recognized thought leaders in innovative mobility initiatives.
