The Panel Wiring Apprentice role is based on‑site in Scarborough and is part of a UK Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship Programme with a salary of £20,000 per annum. As an apprentice you will learn to construct and assemble high‑quality electrical panels that underpin Schneider Electric’s advanced solutions. Through hands‑on training, attention to detail, safety and innovation, you will help deliver reliable, efficient and sustainable electrical distribution systems, supporting the company’s leadership in energy management and automation.
During the apprenticeship you will receive two types of training. On‑the‑job training is delivered by Schneider Electric and includes supervision, mentoring, induction, mental health and wellbeing support, performance reviews and networking opportunities. Off‑the‑job training is provided by a selected training provider for at least 20 % of your working hours (average six hours per week) and covers the knowledge, skills and behaviours required by the apprenticeship standard.
The work pattern is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with exact start and finish times agreed with your line manager. Regular hours are 07:55‑16:25 Monday‑Thursday and 07:55‑13:25 on Friday, with a portion of the time allocated to off‑the‑job training.
Benefits for the apprenticeship include a competitive salary, attractive bonus scheme, employee share ownership, pension and life assurance, 28 days annual leave plus public holidays, holiday‑buy options, flexible and hybrid working where applicable, health and wellbeing support, volunteering opportunities, employee discounts and access to learning and career portals.
