Communicates effectively with the team to coordinate the movement of equipment and materials
Conducts and documents daily safety checks on hoist equipment and cables; maintains a close watch of the hoist during operation; identifies and reports mechanical or operational defects or concerns to a supervisor.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational protocols as a hoist operator
Observes signals and safely operates the hoist by lowering, raising, and moving people, materials, and equipment to designated floors.
Performs related work as required; maintains a clean and organized work environment

Ability to detect mechanical and operational defects in hoist equipment.
Intermediate First Aid Certification considered an asset
Certifications needed: Hoist, CSTS, WHMIS, and Fall Protection
Ability to follow instructions
Must be punctual, observant, a team player, and be committed to safety
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Basic knowledge and understanding of load capacity ad weight distribution principles
Ability to understand and execute oral instructions.
