Administrative Assistant

Description

• Maintain project files, schedules, logs, and preconstruction tracking tools
• Learn estimating processes, quantity take-offs, bid packaging, and cost analysis through hands-on mentoring
• Communicate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
• Work with an established GC delivering major commercial projects across New York City
• Provide administrative and organisational support to the Preconstruction & Estimating department
• Assist with bid documentation, subcontractor outreach, and proposal preparation
• Help coordinate drawings, specs, addendums, and bid events

Requirements

A leading Commercial General Contractor in Manhattan is looking for a driven Administrative Assistant to join their Preconstruction team. • Experience in construction admin is a bonus but not required — attitude and potential matter most
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced commercial construction environment
• Excellent communication (written & verbal)
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); any exposure to Bluebeam or Procore is a plus
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
