Description

• Convey thinking to the engineering lead and colleagues to coordinate a consistent design
• Offers technical guidance to team members.
• Technically supervising OBD (Open Building Design) / BIM technicians.
• Work together with the group rather than in isolation to promote a team atmosphere
• Continuously seeks new and efficient ways to perform tasks and deliver higher quality work
• Training: Identifying training requirements within OBD, Cad / BIM Team and advising Team Leaders
• Responsible for the completion of assigned tasks within time and cost
• Ensuring that drawings issued are in accordance with the agreed standards as required by the UK / ME region
• Leads the team in innovation and continuous improvement
• Identify barriers/restraints to the team in a positive manner
• Responsible for the completion of tasks assigned.
• Managing packages of OBD work with minimal supervision.
• Coaches and mentors’ members of the team
• Monitoring the Performance of the OBD, Cad / BIM Team and mentoring, coaching as required
• Communicates problems encountered to the supervisor in a timely manner
• Develop knowledge to manage workloads by appointing appropriate staff and tools to complete the task
• Fosters team building
• Controls technical quality of the team's output
• Issuing clear and precise instructions to team members
• Communicates concerns to the immediate Supervisor
• Developing an understanding of the commercial aspects of project management
• Be accountable for the results of the tasks performed
• Produces high-quality, cost-effective work

• Responsible for assigning and monitoring work delegated to colleagues through to completion
• Implement and enforce BIM Standards
• Responsible for the completion of specifically assigned tasks to time and cost

Requirements

• Good understanding of the sequence of the construction and the usage of different elements within the framework and is aware of the technical terms of building elements.
• Interface experience with the project management team and senior Architects & engineers.
• Be proactive and cooperative in a multi-disciplined project team environment
• Able to make sound judgments
• Ability to probe and challenge to enhance understanding
• Shows flexibility in work tasks and location within the project group and other teams.
• An effective and reliable team member able to apply knowledge gained
• Ability to plan and prioritise tasks of self and team members to deadlines.
• Good knowledge of work and office procedures
• Graduates (B.Arch.) / Diploma
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and changing priorities
• Is responsive to meeting internal and external client requirements.
• Willingness to share information and knowledge with team members
• Understanding of RIBA Stages of Work. Key performer in interdisciplinary coordination. Ability to cross-check the design/ scheme for compliance and verify consultant information.
• Able to assign and check the Detailing work
• Demonstrates adequate knowledge of work procedures
• Shall be capable of producing the OBD Model independently in coordination with Structures /MEP, etc.
• Demonstrates imitative and basic leadership skills to give directions in a small work group.
• Team leadership abilities and people management skills. Clear understanding of career aspirations of self.
• Ability to listen, understand and follow instructions.
• Competent understanding of the range of materials and their material properties. The candidate should have an advanced understanding of the application of these materials (e.g., bituminous materials, liquid-applied components, etc.)
• Knows how to use a wide range of OBD, CAD / BIM and other relevant technologies for designer work
• Remains accessible for communication with others
• Expresses technical ideas in a clear and concise manner
• Being able to understand the implications of adjusting the priorities of team members
• Continues to receive on-the-job technical training but with limited supervision, progressing towards the end of technical training
• Expresses enthusiasm/confidence in technical decisions
• 7+ years of advanced-level troubleshooting experience with MicroStation, OBD, CAD / BIM technologies.
• Basic command of oral and technical writing skills
• Skills in the Revit application will be an added advantage
• Understands interdisciplinary coordination requirements
• Familiar with planning, budgeting, and scheduling of basic drafting tasks in designated disciplines
• Successful in identifying leads associated with the additional work prospects on the projects involved.
• Competent to check the work of other team members
• Should know about drawing information, building regulations and other technical documents
