The Construction Services Project Engineer will lead construction projects from planning and procurement through start‑up. Responsibilities include serving as the primary client contact, coordinating inspection and testing personnel, monitoring budgets, schedules, and safety standards, and conducting progress meetings to resolve challenges and keep projects on time and within scope.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, and has a strong background in horizontal and vertical construction projects and materials testing. Excellent communication skills, team‑leadership ability, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, e‑Builder, and LMIS are required. A valid driver’s license and the willingness to use a personal vehicle for job‑related work are also necessary, along with the ability to safely traverse construction sites and comply with safety codes.
Preferred qualifications include Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, and experience with City of Columbus or ODOT projects.
