Forward-thinking and undaunted by challenges of new market entry; has the drive and creativity to establish successful queue positions despite conflicting rules or gaps in policy
Track record of negotiations with utility staff that have improved interconnection outcomes
Demonstrated team player with success collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
Broad knowledge of distributed generation interconnection challenges and opportunities—past, present, and future
Expertise in utility tariffs, system design, and utility technical standards
Skilled interpretation of technical interconnection studies and ability to distill and communicate critical insights to all stakeholders
Master’s degree in business or policy is preferred
Strong interpersonal skills; existing relationships with electric utility staff are a plus
Bachelor’s degree
Strong technical understanding of solar and battery storage facility design and system components
