Description

• Conducting comprehensive socio-economic impact analyses
• Apply HM Treasury Green Book principles and the Five Case Model in project assessments
• Ensure compliance with relevant policies and guidelines
• Deliver concise and impactful verbal presentations to clients and stakeholders
• Utilise public sector funding, governance, and appraisal frameworks (e.g., Green Book, HMT Appraisal Guide)
• Applying knowledge in areas such as impact assessment, case-making, funding bids, planning submissions, and investment plans
• Navigate the planning submission process
• Engage effectively with clients, public bodies, and community groups
• Manage multiple projects concurrently with strict adherence to deadlines
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of key economic policies and guidance
• Maintain professional relationships to facilitate project success
• Produce clear, well-structured reports, presentations, and other forms of communication
• Utilise policy documents, open data, market studies, and demographic data to support analyses
• Conduct thorough evaluations of socio-economic and well-being impacts on local communities, labour markets, and regional economies
• Providing critical support to clients in developing robust investment cases
• Identify and quantify both qualitative and quantitative benefits
• Support clients in crafting compelling investment cases
• Incorporate social value principles into project planning and execution
• Collect, interpret, analyse, and summarise quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources
• Ensure successful project delivery through evidence-based planning
• Apply value-for-money principles, cost-benefit analysis, and economic appraisal techniques
• Apply strategic and analytical thinking to policy and strategy development
• Translating complex evidence into actionable outputs and recommendations
• Delivering advisory support to clients on investment, regeneration, and planning decisions

Requirements

• Present clear, accessible evidence to inform decision-making and strategy development
• Demonstrating value for money through rigorous economic assessments
• BA/BSc (required) with a Masters ideally (desirable) subject areas such as Economics, Geography, Strategic Planning/Planning
• Specialising in regeneration, infrastructure, and transport projects
• Work efficiently within multi-disciplinary teams
