Description

• Maintain and repair wind turbines with your team to keep communities powered.
• Adhere to safety protocols and perform safety inspections.
• Collaborate with your team to improve turbine performance and share best practices.
• Document your work and continuously improve operational processes.
• Accurately time code all work activities to support clear tracking of task duration, progress, and operational efficiency.
• Stand and walk for prolonged periods.
• Climb stairs and vertical ladders to heights of 60–100 m and supervise work in confined spaces.
• Lift, push, pull, or carry items up to 50 lb.
• Observe training and obtain certification in required safety programs (LOTO, Electrical Qualification, Fall Arrest, High Angle Rescue, Emergency Descent, Confined Space).
• Participate successfully in all training courses, including controlled descent practical exercises.

Requirements

As a Wind Site Technician you will ensure the smooth operation of wind turbines by handling maintenance, troubleshooting, and system issues. Your work directly supports clean, reliable energy for local communities and is essential regardless of your prior background in wind, electrical, mechanical, or heavy‑machinery sectors.

We are looking for candidates with at least six months of a Wind Technician certificate, one year of wind turbine experience, or two years in mechanical or electrical fields. You should possess strong problem‑solving abilities, a safety‑conscious mindset, and enjoy collaborative environments. Physical fitness, the ability to work at heights and in varied conditions, fluency in English, a high‑school diploma (or equivalent), a valid driver’s license, and legal authorization to work in the U.S. are required.

• Use telephones, close‑range radios, or related devices (hearing ability).
• Possess visual acuity including depth perception and color discrimination.
• Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl as needed; demonstrate hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Established safety culture and inclusive, collaborative workplace.

Compensation includes attractive pay, performance bonuses, and a $2,500 USD sign‑on bonus for candidates holding Basic Safety Training, Basic Technical Training, and Advanced Rescue Training certifications from the Global Wind Organization, subject to eligibility. Pay rates are based on experience and qualifications.
