  • Conduct market research, analyze supplier capabilities and spend data and perform risk assessments, to generate insights, identify cost saving opportunities, support informed procurement decisions, and safeguard the organization’s interests.
  • Support continuous improvement and change initiatives by analyzing contract trends adapting sourcing strategies and contributing to innovative enhancements in supply chain processes
  • Lead and support sourcing, negotiation and execution of contracts, ensuring alignment with business objectives, risk management practices and compliance with terms, conditions, and service level agreements, through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and Canadian Contract Law in all supply management activities
  • Manage supplier and contractor relationships to drive performance, ensure contract compliance, and implement amendments, renewals or terminations that enhance value, mitigate risks and optimize supply chain efficiency

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in contracts management, procurement, or supply chain within the energy sector or a related industry
  • Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Law, or a related field from a recognized university
  • Demonstrate exceptional time management and relationship building skills, working within tight timelines, tracking action items, and keeping internal stakeholders informed throughout the sourcing and contracting lifecycle
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on risk mitigation and cost optimization
  • Proven expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts, with strong knowledge of contract law and industry regulations applicable to the Canadian energy market
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external vendors
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), or a paralegal certification are considered an asset
