The Maintenance Technician II will perform preventive and reactive maintenance for plant manufacturing operations. Priorities include executing preventive‑maintenance schedules, repairing equipment to maintain maximum production rates, and maintaining an adequate spare‑parts inventory. The role also supports continuous‑improvement projects and daily management initiatives.
Candidates must have a high‑school or equivalent diploma and be able to lift 50 lb to a height of 6 ft, stand and be mobile for at least eight continuous hours, and perform physical labor in temperature extremes. Preferred experience includes two or more years of industrial maintenance, electrical systems and controls, and basic PLC and drive training. Knowledge of NEC, UL508A, NFPA 79, and lock‑out/tag‑out safety procedures is advantageous.
The technician should be proficient with electrical test equipment, reading mechanical, pneumatic and electrical drawings, and troubleshooting PLC I/O, drives, and motor systems. Strong mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and pneumatic troubleshooting abilities, combined with leadership, time‑management and communication skills, are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with root‑cause analysis are also required.
