Assistant Project Manager - Southern California

Description

• Assist with establishing and maintaining contact with subcontractors to ensure the smooth working of the contract awarding process.
• Assist with the advised scheduling of contractual rights and obligations.
• Assist with recommended awards and administer subcontracts.
• Assist with requests or approved amendments to or extensions of contracts.
• Assist with reviews bids from subcontractors for conformity to contract requirements and recommends acceptable bids.
• Assist with processes subcontractor change orders.
• Assist with communication to accounting on subcontractor payments.
• Assist with qualifying subcontractors prior to award.
• Assist with preparing bids for distribution to market. Includes drawings, specifications, test reports, and other exhibits that may be required.
• Assist with reviewing pricing, bids and confirms accuracy of material, equipment, and production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure completeness and validity.
• Assist with compiling data for preparing estimates.
• Assist with reviewing all correspondence concerning subcontractors and respond as necessary.
• Assist with negotiating contract scope and value with bidder.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 1-2 years of project management experience with commercial construction projects preferred.
• Strong organization, time-management, verbal and written communication skills
