Technical Program Manager - GenAI

Description

• Technical Translation: Partner with Product Managers and the Business Units to translate product roadmaps and business requirements into detailed technical specifications, project plans, and clear deliverables for the engineering teams.
• Execution & Delivery: Drive the entire project lifecycle for AI solutions, from initial scoping and planning through development, testing, and deployment, operating within our Agile framework.
• Stakeholder Communication: Own communication on program status and delivery timelines. You will provide clear, regular updates to all stakeholders, including Product Managers, leadership, and BU partners, ensuring there are no surprises.
• Resource & Dependency Management: Work directly with engineering leads to manage project timelines, resource allocation, and cross-team dependencies. You will be the central point of contact for understanding who is working on what and when it will be done.
• Process Improvement: Continuously improve our execution and delivery processes, helping the team become more efficient and predictable in its ability to ship high-quality AI solutions.
• Risk & Blocker Removal: Proactively identify execution risks, technical challenges, and dependencies. You will be responsible for triaging issues and driving them to resolution, ensuring nothing stands in the way of the engineering team's progress.

Requirements

• Exceptional Communicator: You can flawlessly translate between technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring everyone is aligned.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, with 5-10 years' relevant experience.
• Proficiency with project management tools.
• 5+ years of experience in technical program management, software engineering management, or a similar role, with a proven track record of shipping complex, large-scale software projects.
• Proactive Problem-Solver: You don't wait for problems to happen; you anticipate them and work tirelessly to clear a path for your team.
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for Work Visas, now or in the future, for this position opening.
• Master Organizer: You excel at creating order from chaos, managing multiple complex projects simultaneously without losing track of the details.
• Strong technical background, ideally with hands-on experience in software development.
• Familiarity with the unique requirements of AI and machine learning projects (e.g., data dependencies, model evaluation, POC-to-MVP lifecycle).
• Influence Without Authority: You are skilled at building consensus and driving alignment across different teams and functions to achieve a common goal.
• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with GE/GE Vernova highly preferred.
