Payroll & Accounts Payable/Receivable Coordinator --Kiewit Nuclear Solutions-Idaho Falls, ID & Utah

Description

• Maintain accurate vendor records and ensure timely payments.
• Process weekly payrolls for craft employees in accordance with company policies and union agreements.
• Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters in a timely and professional manner.
• Audit payroll documentation and make necessary adjustments with appropriate approvals.
• Review and validate employee timecards submitted via approved spreadsheets for payroll input.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and assist with month-end closing procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive employee and company information.
• Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
• Partner with Human Resources and Accounting teams to resolve payroll-related issues.
• Participate in cross-functional collaboration to promote and implement process improvements.
• Analyze payroll inputs and outputs to ensure accuracy in hires, changes, and terminations; identify and correct errors.
• Review, verify, and process invoices and expense reports promptly.

Requirements

• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and with energy.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with employees at all levels.
• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Solid accounting knowledge sufficient to perform journal entries and payroll account reconciliations.
• Work productively and meet deadlines timely
• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is favorable; equivalent years of experience may be substituted.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
• Regular, reliable attendance
• Prior payroll experience preferred.
