Plant Quality Inspector (1st Shift)

Description

• Conduct pre‑pour and post‑pour inspections to verify concrete member tolerances per shop cards and PCI standards.
• Perform concrete testing, including slumps, unit weight, air content, release cylinders, and 28‑day cylinders, and witness stressing procedures.
• Establish and monitor curing controls, such as setting up steam clocks to achieve proper curing temperatures.
• Inspect bed set‑up against shop drawings to ensure correct reinforcement size, placement, strand and plate locations, and structural connections.
• Identify non‑conforming items, tag them appropriately (green for conforming, red for requiring engineering approval), and notify relevant personnel for corrective action.
• Monitor finishing procedures in the finishing shed and ensure final products meet quality standards.
• Verify repaired red‑tagged members conform to engineering requirements and document all non‑conformances in writing.
• Follow all safety and quality rules and processes to maintain a safe work environment and high‑quality production.

Requirements

• Required education: High school diploma or GED.
