Tasks

-Oversee projects through bidding and construction administration phase. -Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals. -Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in civil engineering; Contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG. -Identify potential project problems and seek advice from the Project Manager -Complete and oversee permit applications for a variety of municipalities in coordination with the team, Client, and reviewing jurisdiction. -Analyze engineering problems and propose innovative solutions; Collaborate with senior engineers and consultants to develop practical and efficient solutions. -Direct and train Civil Design Technicians to assist them in completing reports, exhibits, plans and specifications and permit applications as required by the project’s contractual scope. -Interact with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively; Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication. -Lead design efforts for the analysis of civil site design projects for commercial, residential, industrial projects etc.; Utilize engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standards. -Work as part of a project team to support the execution of consulting projects; Lead efforts in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling tasks to meet project deadlines and objectives; Document design decisions and instructions from clients while monitoring project design progress as related to percent complete and fee expended. -Prioritize safety and regulatory compliance in all aspects of engineering work; Interpret state and local design criteria and apply it to the specific project needs.

What You Bring

-Proficient with pipe networking and road corridors. -Ability to train and mentor less experienced staff. -Ability to travel up to 10% with occasional overnight stays. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups. -Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent required. -Associates degree, or certificate, in utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D or equivalent software tools or engineering preferred. -Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. -7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting or construction industry. -Able to lead teams with others that utilize industry standard software that assists with civil engineering analysis and design. -Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. -Proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications. -3 years of experience minimum required, 4 preferred, in the building design consulting industry. -Knowledge of industry standard engineering software, primarily Civil 3D. -Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook. -Strong technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles in the civil engineering field.
