BIM Specialist

• Utilize laser scanning technology to capture existing conditions and develop 3D models for project planning and coordination.
• Ensures project success by using technology to execute processes for or with the Customer, designers, consultants and subcontractors.
• Create, obtain, evaluate, coordinate and distribute 3-dimensional BIM models.
• Develop models and providing technology related services and knowledge to Operations, Marketing, Preconstruction, and Business Acquisition departments.
• Work with consultants, subcontractors, architects and software vendors, to facilitate collaboration and communication during design and construction through use of BIM processes.
• Plays a bridging role between preconstruction and construction phases relative to use of BIM.
• Interact with owners, architects and engineers to facilitate collaboration and communication during preconstruction through use of BIM processes.
• Facilitate the successful implementation of BIM (Building Information Modeling), technology and the related processes.

While performing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands or arms and talk or hear. They may occasionally be required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision.

• Energetic, collaborative mindset with a passion for creative problem-solving.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a degree from a technical college and one to three (1-3) years of experience; or the equivalent combination both.
• Experience designing in Revit is highly preferred and experience producing architectural drawings is required.
• Proficient with design software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit Architecture, Revit Structure, Plant 3D, 3D Studio Max, Navisworks, solid works, ACC, etc) and business software. May require knowledge of applications specific to the project assigned.
