Distribution Designer- Hybrid

Description

• Replace aging poles and perform structural analysis of poles and guying.
• Carry out cable pulling, electric demand assessments, and fault current evaluations.
• Move overhead lines to underground and reconductor existing distribution lines.
• Conduct engineering calculations and design for replacing deteriorating cable.
• Coordinate protective devices to ensure optimal functioning of the distribution system.

Requirements

• Understanding of primary and secondary distribution systems, utility standards, and design software packages.
• Basic engineering theories and principles knowledge.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in electric utility distribution design.
• Proficiency in BOUD, Maximo, Smallworld, Bentley Open Utility Designer, and Microstation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• EIT certification or having passed the Engineering Fundamentals Exam.
• Experience interacting with customers and developers for distribution projects.
