Enterprise Applications Specialist Internal Systems

Description

The Enterprise Applications Specialist supports Hoffman Building Technology’s ERP needs, bridging business and technology to enhance processes, analyze data, provide product support, test solutions, and drive efficiency. The role collaborates with stakeholders, project teams, and developers to ensure business objectives are met effectively.

The specialist will support two system implementations slated for 2026, ensuring application readiness, stability, and user adoption throughout the implementation lifecycle.

• Assist in installing, implementing, and maintaining front office enterprise applications.
• Provide technical support to end‑users and resolve application‑related problems promptly.
• Monitor and analyze ERP and related system performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve ERP, software, user access, and other issues.
• Maintain documentation of configurations and processes.
• Collaborate with IT, operations, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into solutions.
• Conduct training sessions to improve end‑user proficiency with front office applications.
• Assist in testing and validating new processes, reports, or systems.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Apply effective communication and problem‑solving skills with process‑improvement experience.
• Travel as needed and occasionally stay overnight.
• Develop deep expertise in the systems being implemented and their integration points.
• Partner with the Project Manager and Business Analyst to support configuration, testing, and data readiness.
• Assist with system setup, user roles, security, and environment preparation.
• Support User Acceptance Testing and identify application‑level issues early.
• Prepare documentation, training materials, and support plans for go‑live.
• Serve as a primary support resource during post‑go‑live stabilization periods.
• Resolve post‑go‑live issues quickly and effectively.
• Ensure users feel supported and confident in the new systems.
• Confirm configurations, permissions, and data integrity are correct.
• Maintain reliable application operation with minimal disruption.
• Reduce support requests over time as systems stabilize and users become proficient.
• Keep system configurations, documentation, and training materials current.
• Proactively identify system improvements and optimization opportunities.
• Perform frequent standing, walking, sitting, and handling tasks; occasional lifting of up to 20 lb.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Possess 2–3 years of experience in business or data analysis or a related role.
• Have experience in the construction industry.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Work accurately and thoroughly with limited supervision.
• Work cross‑functionally with multiple teams.
• Be detail‑oriented, results‑driven, and able to stay on task.
• Experience with Viewpoint or similar systems (preferred).
• Experience with reporting tools or SQL‑based reporting (preferred).
