Candidates must hold a BSEE degree from an ABET‑accredited program and have at least three years of experience designing Medium Voltage Power Systems. Essential abilities include prioritizing work, managing multiple projects within budget and schedule constraints, tracking project schedules and expenditures, and communicating effectively with clients and team members. Experience reviewing design drawings, strong interpersonal and written communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office are required. While not mandatory, additional experience with 138 kV+ substation design, grounding calculations, ANSI/IEEE/NEMA standards, a PE license, and AutoCAD is valued.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule, combining time in the office with remote work from home. As an Electrical Engineer on a project team, you will engage in detailed electrical design and project management for high‑voltage substation projects. The role involves active participation in project conceptualization, planning, execution, and troubleshooting of diverse electrical engineering challenges, as well as preparing concise technical reports that meet client and S&L formatting standards. You will also have opportunities for peer learning through S&L’s Communities of Practice and may travel to client sites when needed.
