Mortenson is hiring an Operator Foreman who will operate heavy equipment and ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures. The role includes planning, organizing, and directing operators in line with project, state, and federal requirements.
The foreman will operate a range of machinery—including dozers, loaders, scrapers, forklifts, cranes, and lifts—while maintaining site housekeeping and conducting routine maintenance. They will follow work plans, adjust task sequences to meet schedules, assist in labor estimating, and supervise operators’ timecards and daily activities. Additionally, the foreman will lead the crew by providing coaching, feedback, and performance management.
Candidates must hold equipment certifications, have at least two years of relevant experience, and possess a valid driver’s license with appropriate endorsements. Strong teamwork, communication, and the ability to interpret safety rules and manuals are essential, along with basic math skills and the capacity to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb.
