Critical Facilities Operating Engineer

JLL provides professional services in real estate and investment management worldwide.
2nd shift engineer handling maintenance of critical facility systems.
Monitor pricing and work quality of outside contractors.
Perform maintenance and repairs to electrical, mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, control, and fire, life and safety systems.
Perform emergency or preventative maintenance repairs off hours as directed on nights and weekends as needed.
Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
Perform predictive maintenance, preventative maintenance, maintenance routines, equipment rounds, and service requests as directed and in accordance with company Preventative Maintenance Program.
Assist site with emergency situations (e.g., fire alarms, environmental spill, chemical spills, hazardous conditions) and take appropriate actions and escalate to upper management in a timely manner.
Must interface with Critical Operations Team and Management to coordinate Critical Area Program. This will include but not be limited to; scheduling maintenance windows in Change Management, participating in staff meetings, interfacing with key vendors and project management personnel, and keeping up with written communications within the Critical Environment Team.
Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Participate in incident investigations.
Where necessary, record readings and adjust ensure proper operation of equipment.
Climbing stairs and navigating rooftops to access equipment.
Ensure compliance with JLL, OSHA, NFPA and other AHJ standards and requirements.
Support vendors on preventive and repair activities that cannot be performed in house. This includes on-site support, proposal request development, and vendor proposal review.
Using ladders up to 30 ft and working from heights.

High school graduate or equivalent
One year minimum of plant building operating experience, data center experience preferred
Ability to use Windows based computers
Understand and work within the accounts Computerized Maintenance Management System.
Ability to read HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and architectural drawings
