Be the subject matter expert during planning, design, and construction phases of a project.
Performs complex engineering design tasks on assigned projects, as either the Project Lead or Subject Matter Expert, including preparation of calculations, drawings and reports.
Manages the design and construction of projects and provides input where needed.
Involvement in the permitting process of projects, which may require meeting with clients, contractors and reviewing agency personnel, with the aim of seeking necessary approvals.
Mentoring of and technical development of junior designers and EIT’s
Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders as required.
Undertake project management of Airportspecific assignments.
Support the overall Airport and Aviation Sector for business development, proposal writing and project execution.

Possesses excellent timemanagement skills; Thorough understanding of task assignment and schedule, budgeting and efficient use of time and resources.
Understanding and appreciation of all phases of infrastructure projects, including conventional and alternative delivery methods for public and private clients through all phases of the project life cycle.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field & Licensed Professional Engineer (eligible for registration in Ontario).
Comprehensive understanding of all phases of project document production.
Strong communication skills, including an aptitude for effective leadership and people management.
Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite.
Thorough understanding of task assignment and schedule, budgeting and efficient use of time and resources.
Strong understanding of relevant design software, which may include AutoCAD, AviPlan, Civil3D, GIS, FAARFIELD.
Thorough understanding of codes, legal and design requirements in relevant jurisdictions.
Ideal candidate will have 10 or more years of experience. Candidates with at least 7 years of experience may be considered.
Demonstrated experience with Aviation Engineering projects.
Possesses excellent timemanagement skills.
Ability to effectively discuss project issues with clients and stakeholders.
