Sr. Corporate Accounting Manager

Description

The Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting oversees financial reporting and accounting functions, manages a team of accounting professionals, ensures regulatory compliance, prepares financial statements, analyzes data, and provides strategic financial guidance to senior management, playing a key role in the organization’s financial health and decision‑making.

• Lead U.S. accounting staff and support international partners across GL, fixed assets, prepaid, and cash receipts.
• Ensure month‑end close accuracy under US GAAP, managing ERP module closings and the corporate close calendar.
• Maintain cost segregation and job‑cost reporting to meet FAR/CAS compliance and DCAA audit readiness.
• Oversee preparation of financial statements per GAAP and ASC 912, including revenue recognition and disclosures.
• Develop, negotiate, and manage indirect cost rates and home‑office cost allocations.
• Create and enforce accounting policies, internal controls, and SOX compliance to mitigate fraud risk.
• Coordinate external audits, SEC reporting, and DCAA/DCMA audit support, providing documentation and remediation.
• Conduct ad‑hoc financial analysis and reporting to aid organizational decision‑making.
• Supervise and train the accounting team on reconciliations, best practices, and global standards.
• Partner with FP&A, Tax, Finance Systems, and operations to streamline and scale financial processes.

Requirements

• CPA‑qualified with ≥7 years public or corporate accounting experience, ≥5 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven expertise in intercompany transactions, elimination entries, and government contracting compliance.
• Experience with ERP systems (IFS, Kyriba, SAP ECC/S/4HANA) and finance‑center‑of‑excellence initiatives.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and financial reporting skills, including GAAP, SEC, and SOX knowledge.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities for senior leadership and external auditors.
• Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and ethical professionalism in a fast‑paced environment.
