Description

The Service Helper assists the mechanic on construction jobs, handling tools, parts, and materials. Responsibilities include keeping the job site organized, transporting equipment, and maintaining tools and components. This support helps ensure safe work practices throughout the project.

• Assist the mechanic with elevator repairs, including holding and positioning parts.
• Transport tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites.
• Clean machine parts, rails, and cables as directed.
• Follow safety protocols and help troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment at job sites.
• Lift equipment up to 50 lb, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

Requirements

Candidates must have at least two years of relevant experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, engines, or HVAC is required, with elevator experience or technical military training highly preferred. The position demands strong attention to detail, physical ability to lift 50 lb or more, and a valid driver’s license to operate a cargo van.

• Hold a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a cargo van.
