The Coworkers of Electric Operations ensure the delivery of safe and reliable electric service to our customers. Electric Operations oversees all aspects of PG&E’s electric distribution and transmission, including planning, engineering, maintenance, construction, asset management, business planning, restoration, and emergency response.
The Inspection Review Specialist examines and reviews findings and data from asset inspection activities to ensure alignment with safety, maintenance, and compliance guidelines. The incumbent identifies trends, prepares reports and recommendations, and validates determinations of required maintenance work. This role operates in a hybrid model, working from a remote office and the Dublin, CA location as business needs dictate.
- Review completed inspection forms, pictures, maps, and related data to analyze inspector conclusions.
- Return incomplete records to originators or supervisors for correction and ensure records are maintained for audits.
- Participate in internal inspection quality audits and assist in developing reports on findings, observations, and trends.
- Present findings and recommendations to management on special projects.
- Review, approve, and release staging notifications, corrective notifications, and orders based on work priority.
- Provide training and feedback to inspectors on selecting appropriate FDA, required information for LC/EC notifications, and photo quality.
- Assist with implementation of process improvements and efficiencies.
- Perform quality assurance reviews based on EC/LC field conditions and inspector-provided information.
- Assist others using established processes, practices, and procedures as needed.

- Minimum: High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum: At least 5 years of utility industry or related experience.
- Minimum: Ability to travel up to 15% of working time.
- Desired: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Desired: Electric Journeyman utility experience (5 years) or 4+ years engineering experience.
- Desired: Ability to review field pictures and determine regulatory conditions within compliance timeframes.
- Desired: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Exchange, Excel, Word).
- Desired: Strong decision‑making skills.
- Desired: Ability to build strong relationships across departments.
- Desired: Strong oral and written communication with internal contacts at all levels.
- Desired: Knowledge of GO 165, 95, 128 and construction standards, and distinction between regulatory and non‑regulatory conditions.
- Desired: Understanding of electric asset preventive maintenance tasks, patrol, and inspection.
- Desired: Proficiency in SAP Work Management.
- Desired: Familiarity with PG&E construction standards, bulletins, and guidance documents.
Benefits
PG&E provides an hourly rate range of $50.48 to $81.25 for this position. The final rate will be determined based on factors such as specific skills, education, certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity, with the successful candidate likely placed toward the middle or entry point of the range.
