Business Development Representative

Description

This position will play an integral role in achieving our growth objectives by qualifying opportunities and generating interest for our field Sales Representatives.

For more than 50 years, KOMPAN has researched, designed, and built innovative and imaginative commercial playground equipment and outdoor fitness sites that captivate all ages and abilities.

• Route larger qualified opportunities to field Sales Representatives for further development and closure
• Develop meaningful relationships with customers
• Manage the full-cycle sales process on small and simple projects that can be closed quickly with no involvement of Field Sales Representatives, including advisement on product selection, solution designs, creating quotes, and obtaining orders
• Collaborate with Field Sales Representatives on opportunities generated in the field to close sales from the office
• Research prospective leads, sourcing new sales by identifying key players and performing outbound calls and follow-up emails
• Qualify inbound leads from website, social media, phone, and email

Requirements

• 2+ years working in sales, inside sales, outside sales, or business development
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience finding solutions by understanding customer needs and requirements
• CRM experience preferred
• Enthusiastic, customer-service mindset both with internal team members and external customers
• Works well in a team environment with a sense of urgency and emphasis on efficiency
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products
• Has a passion for problem solving with customers and thrives on the success of winning a project
