Key responsibilities include communicating with customers to gather information and approve waste profiles, assisting with waste characterization and documentation in line with facility, state, and federal regulations, and maintaining customer profiles and contract filing systems. The specialist also coordinates completion of profile and contract forms, collects deposits, prepares change‑of‑address records, issues discontinuance orders, researches operational concerns, and prepares reports and waste shipment summaries.
Additional duties involve preparing manifests for mailing or electronic transmission, processing memos and correspondence, reviewing billing adjustments, and performing other related tasks as assigned. The role supports Sales, Facility Operations, and the Customer Service Manager through accurate data entry and clerical assistance.
Preferred qualifications include strong customer‑service orientation, active listening, effective communication, attention to detail, professionalism, and problem‑solving abilities. Candidates should be proficient with office equipment and the MS Office Suite, possess knowledge of RCRA and DOT regulations, be able to identify data trends, manage multiple projects, and thrive in a collaborative team environment. Minimum requirements are 1–2 years of related customer service experience, with a pay range of $25.45 to $34.97 per hour, dependent on location.
